Default can you bolt a 5-bolt 90mm TB to a 3-bolt style intake?

ok I have a victor jr intake for my 99 LS1. I'm going to be running a sheet metal intake elbow that has a 3-bolt style flange for the throttle body. The flange is for a 90mm TB but is only 3-bolt style. Now for the question.

Can I bolt a 5-bolt style 90mm throttle body to it just using 3 bolts? or will it not seal correctly?

The bolt holes will not line up correctly. You may be able to make it work using the top hole and enlarging the bottom two to let the bore line up. I will try to look at one today and let you know.

you could have an adapter plate made but would probably run into more headaches than it would be worth.

ABeasst,

Sorry, I forgot untill I saw this post again. Looks like you would be able to use the top bolt hole and just enlarge the bottom two holes toward the middle some. Just use a washer on the bolt to cover up where you have to grind. I put one of my TB's over an LS6 intake with the top bolt in and the bore looks like it will line up good also. Just will take a little work.
