Default 1/8 mile times

My best time in the 1/8 on a 100 shot was 7.9 I installed frame connectors 30# injectors 54mm throtle body adjustable lower links ported and polished heads 11.2 compresion ratio removed the front torsion bar smog pump ac and heater 272/282 538/565 with 112 lobe seperation cam that pulls to 7000 rpm I finally got a chance to go to the track and my best time with all the mods was 8.1 I was really disappointed My stall was 4000 and the new one is flashing to about 3200 so I am going to kick that up to 4200 cause the car is bogging on the track. the rear is 3.73 any other suggestions I was thinking we were going into the 11's but after all that work we are going backwards. my 60 ft times are at best 1.9

60ft is terrible for a stalled auto car. You should be getting some 1.5x's atleast. Forsure raise the converter stall up and that will probably fix the problem IMO.

As long as you have some tires of coarse.

272/282 538/565 with 112 lobe seperation cam........Are these the correct specs on your cam? I have never heard of anyone running that much duration with so little lift, especially in a street car.

That sounds like the total duration numbers, not the duration at .050 that we're used to talking.

And I agree with the above post. Gotta get that converter right.

I had madz28 set the computer, I pulled the distributer to replace it with a MSD rotor and cap. last month it was the optispark. next week I will pull the converter to get it redone. As for the cam specs i read them off the spec sheet but it is at my office so I can't check it now. I just got this car this year and have made a lot of mistakes trying to get it to go faster on a realitavely slim budget, but we will keep adding. window switch and line lock and racing seats are on the ground in my shop. we are running 305-16's dot slicks.
