Talking How to bring the luster out of the...

center tail light plastics.

It's really scratched and I want it to look like new. If it's impossible I'll just buy a new center tail light.

Actually what I mean is the plastic piece where the key hole for the trunk is on my car. That plastic piece is what I want to look shiney.

you could always try just taking it off, wetsanding it down, then repainting it.

no need to bring paint into this...

wet sand it with 600, 1000, and then 2000 grit paper; then use a plastic polish on it

Wet sand with 1000 grit, then 2000 grit, then polish with 3M Perfect-It II Fine Cut Rubbing Compound, then polish with 3M Perfect-It Swirl Mark Remover

you could always just try the polish first depending on how bad it is, worked great for mine

Search function is screwed up tonight, as I've been trying to do other searches & it keeps coming up empty or 'Page not found'.

They did work after I posted them tho, as I tried them immediately afterwards.
