Default edelbrock headers???

I have vic jr. race headers that are 1-3/4 to 1-7/8 step. What do you all think of these headers? I really haven't heard much about them.

They look like a fine set of headers. On the top of my list if I do another F-bod project.

I got em with my new 408 setup. Unbeatable for the price, but I wouldn't get em without a big cube setup, just overkill with anything less than a 402.

Im gonna get a set. I cant decide between the welded headers or the slip on ones. Does the slip on collector leak at all? How hard is it to get them on?

I've read nothing but good things about the slip-ons. You could always have them welded up locally if you're worried about them leaking, but I read one user of the slip fits who has them on unwelded and they haven't leaked.

Yeah, I havent heard anyone complaining of leaks either. Supposedly the dynatech headers leaked terrible though. Thats where my concern comes from.

i am looking into them as well. don't you have to weld in your 02 bungs on the slip on ones though.

not to change the subject but I just wanted to compliment you car.....envy that look...

these headers are hard to beat for the deal...I already have mine but I haven't put them on yet. I bought mine of e-bay for $350.00. Everything came with it. It has the slip on collector but I am going to have them welded.

i have to disagree that they are overkill for a stock cubed moter #1 it cant be overkill for the price because who knows when you might be upgrading to a bigger motor. #2 they are great for a h/c or cam/big shot setup.

i had my collecters welded on but it was impossible to weld all the way around the tubes because they touch they dont leak much at all just wish i would have put some rtv in them before i had them welded for reassurance

they make good power, and the step will effect the band up top a smidgenbut wont hurt the low end because of how far the 1 3/4"pipes go

thanks man, i am changing the look a little over the winter but it will still look just as good.

i think i am going to get the fully welded headers. i just hope they don't have the problems with the air tubes blowing off like the hookers do. so is there just one y pipe that fits all i guess. thanks for all the info guys.
