Florida Members - I proposed too my girl last night and she said yes!!!!

I was thinkin about proposing too Brit while we were at Bradenton, but then I found out that Dave was gonna propose too Claire, so I figured I wouldn't cuz I didn't wanna take any attention away from them or anything, cuz that was something really super special for claire being there in front of her closest friends and all and she's been waiting a lot longer than Brit has! So just too screw with Brit I told her hey hunni, I was thinking about proposing too you today, but then I found out Dave was going too propose too Claire, so now you'll have too wait, hahaha!!! So I was thinking about it on the way home and after all day that I hadn't done it and all, figured she'd totally never be expecting me too and it would surprise the shit out of her if I did!!! So after we unloaded the car off the trailer and parked the truck and all, we went in and she went out back too walk the dogs. As soon as she went out the door I ran into our room and grabbed the ring box out of the dresser, opened it up, and went and got down on one knee in front of the door with a big smile on my face waiting for her too come back in! So she opens the door while still looking the other way at the dogs and i'm like hunni, so she turns around doesn't see me and then looks down and I hear her heart stop, hahahaha, and she's trying too hold back the tears and I ask her too marry me and she said yes!!! So I put the ring on her finger and hugged her and squeezed her for a while, gave her a kiss and just smiled and felt really good!!! And it was funny, everytime she tried too say something, I could hear it in her voice that she was trying too hold back the tears and she had like the hugest smile on her face, it was so nice too see her happy too the point of tears! Cuz too be honest, even though I know she wanted me too give it too her and that she would say yes, I was still really nervous cuz if she for some weird stroke of luck said no, i'dve been crushed!

John, the ring has been bought and paid for for a good 3 months or so already, so it took away some mod money for a while, but I got it done, hehe! :nod:

Yeah, I'm positive she is. We have been together for like ~2.5 years and we have talked plenty about it. Just waiting till we are old enough. I'm 19 and she is 17. I've still got a couple years. I turn 20 in march and she'll be 18 in april. So I'm probably gonna get married when I'm 21-22. I know it sounds like every other story but I can assure you it's not. There are actually some mature teenagers out there believe it or not :jest: Then again your in your early 20's so I'm sure you can somewhat see what I'm talking about.

Yeah dude, i'm 22 and my girl is 19, we've been together just about 3 years, and we plan on staying that way! We've been living together for about the last 2 years, I love her so much, couldn't picture my life without her!

Congrats Devon! I know what feeling you and her both musta had at that moment. I remember proposing to my wife back in Christmas 2000, and it was in front of my parents, and she tried so hard not to cry, but a few made their way past :D
