Why would you just want a bare block, you still need to use the ls7 heads on it. Well anyways I couldn't find a part # for just the block, but here is the # for the entire crate motor.

LS7 crate motor = 17802397

This is the part numbetr on the whole motor. But Parker brought up a good point. You will have alot of work to do to make it right. ALso, this is a fairly new block and any issues or bugs havent fully surfaced...if any.

If you want to go big cubes, i would recommend either an iron 408ci or an aluminum 402ci setup. Also, there are 370ci iron, 382ci aluminum, 385ci iron or a small 500ci aluminum/iron...not sure on this on though.

With these, you will have a better time finding reliable setups and will have the to drop less cash and require less research to make the ls7 work. If what your looking for is to have a LS7-CTS-V, than get the crate motor longblock....your best bet because this is a finished product and its a delicate motor that should be carefully put assembled.....'

good luck!!

You should check out the new aluminum truck block GM is offering. Everybody seems to have plans with big cubes using them. The crate engine even comes with forged crank/rods I think.
