I bought a set from him but have not installed them yet. He will put together a set with manley valves and 918 springs shipped for 1140 I think. The work looks good, but no polishing at that price. I am sure you can find higher flow numbers if you look but this is what I wanted. Jason is a good guy to deal with. Curious to see what others think about the flow numbers. Steve

I've got all new springs and what not I only Have maybe 300 miles on my setup. I was just wondering for the price if it would begood I dont know all that much about flow #. I was just trying to get an idea if these would be worth my time and money. Does anyone have a roundabout horsepower gain on this setup or what the heads alone would bring me. I plan on throwing four tens at this setup so when I hand a Cobra boy his *** he can't give me any bullshit.There is no replacement for displacement.Thanks Aaron

The ports don't look too good. I guess it's "Stage 1", but it seems like much more material needs to be taken out.

To be honest they dont even look stage one to me. I wouldnt even call this ported. More like a simple valve job. He may have just barely opened up the bowls a tad, but he didnt even bother knife edging the valve guides, and Ill bet the rocker boss is still in there. With the price of CNC ported 243 heads as cheap as they are now, theres no reason not to go with one of them.

Hey whats up thanks for giveing your opinion on these heads. Now about your heads what stage can you get me under a grand, that will give me the most gains out of my setup? For under a $1000.00, the bare heads for $845.00 would be the deal. You can use your valve train in these with no problem. We could include new 2.00"/1.55" GM valves (non-sodium), for a total of $900.00. However, if it is in your budget, the $1,075.00 with the Ferrea valves is the way to go. It is a deal that can't be beat.

Has anyone looked at the flow chart on the ebay pro flow? I know you guys said that he did not do much work, but are the flow numbers any better than stock z06? Why do all the good deals show up after I buy heads? When I bought the set stock z06 heads were 900 shipped and cncd were 1800. I thought I got a decent buy. I can have some more port work done right? How much would it take to get stage 2 work? Thanks, Steve

I wouldnt trust their flow charts at all. Its very easy to manipulate flow on a flowbench. Read some of Tony Mamo's (from AFR)posts and youll start to get a feel for how muc of difference the operators influence has. Different clay on the intake, different pipes on the exhaust, 28 vs 30 inches of water. Many things can easily make drastic changes in reported flow. Im sure sopmeone smarter than I will chime in and explain this better.

Dont get overboard. The clay radius on the intake doesnt make that much difference. A 1 7/8 pipe vs. 2 1/4 makes a alittle difference, but not much there either. If an operator flows a bench at 30" and sells it as 28", that is an outright scam. It would be pretty easy to disprove. Something you may not know, most SF600 benchs dont flow well at 30" when you get over 300cfm. That 600cfm rating is nominal. Alot of shops flow the BBC and other high flowing stuff at 25" and ratio up to 28" A SF1200 is a different story.
