Default What kind of oil do you use?

What kind of oil do you use synthetic or regular? if you could specify the benefits for synthetic and what kind i should use, also I would like to know who makes the best oil for LS1?

I always run synthetic. I think that you'll find most of the LS1 guys run synthetic.

Most everyone uses one of the top brands of synthetic. As blkZ28spt said, there is ALOT of info on oil by using the search....I'm betting more than you will want to read about.

I prefer extra virgin olive oil...gives some nice flavor without being too overpowering - it is really dependant on the dish though.

Yeah, especially with stir fry . I use Castrol for dyno oil and Royal Purple for Synthetic.

I prefer Redline Oil.

You're going to get ALOT of different opinions on this one. If you do some searching you'll come up with a good deal of responses to this question.

Very good results with Schaeffer PAO Blend 10W-30 & 15W-40. My UOA results were the lowest with straight 15W-40 in the summer. That interval also had quite a few 1/4 passes on it. I've never gone much above 3K miles as I change the oil every 6 months regardless of mileage.
