Default What would you guys do?

After the first of the year im gonna have a little extra dollars for my next mod.......My question is: Considering all the mods in my sig, and my car still looks completely stock, I want to do one of two things......1) put in a new cam with springs and etc. or 2) put a set of torque thrust II's all the way around...17x9 and 17x11's.....What would you guys do????? thanks

Kinda pricey, at least $1200 for labor, and 2500 for a decent tranny, pedals, console, harness etc.

It depends what you wnat from the car man, 11 wides look sick, but a cam sounds sick, if it were me i'd cam it and if you have enough left over get your WS6 wheels widened, that looks so nice.

Nothing aginst autos or their drivers, honestly. I just wouldnt like one, its all personal preferance. I just like saying stuff like that sometimes, some people make a big deal over it, and its funny to read..

Keeping it real!!!

yeah at first i was set on a cam.....but then i said to myself i have hell keeping traction without spray...and on spray i have to be in the low 11's with a tire right???? And after a few cars i seen that looked exactly like mine, i wanted to set it apart a little....so i thought about wheels. I drive the car everyday and race maybe....MAYBE once a week in a street race...but damn a cam sounds so nice

Cam it! Maybe raise the stall speed. Then take it to the strip and tear an equally modded M6 a new a**hole.

In other words you are trolling. And admitting to it. If you'll recall, trolling is grounds for being banned.

I'm going the opposite way, I'd get the wheels & tires first, simply because all the power in the world is useless if you can't hook.
If you really want the cam, get it, but at least get some sticky tires, even if they are in the stock size

You don't need oversize wheels/tires to hook. For example: My stock 16" wheels with 245/50-16 Nitto NT-555 R drag radials do a fine job.

If I happen to need more traction I have a pair of 10.5x16 ET streets on salad shooters that I bought like new and mounted for $250.

Getting something like TTII's is mostly spending money on appearance, NOT performance.

Getting traction = 10 bolt death

As far as trolling. No, I am able to say what I like about transmissions, I wouldnt ever think about owning a a4 car, there for I can make comments like " A4-M6 Conversion would be the first thing Id do " and not be breaking any rules..

No, not when you say them in order to start arguments, which you outright and openly admitted to. Need I quote it again?

Only with an M6. With a true drag racing tranny (an automatic) you can get plenty of traction and not worry about the rear end. I have no problem cutting 1.64's all day long in mine.

Cam it! Rims and tires look nice but honestly another inch or two on the rear rims isn't going to matter that much. Besides, what would you rather do, walk outside of your car to see your nice rims or listen to the sound of a nice big cam lobing the whole time your driving it?
