Default Thick exhaust band clamps?

Has anyone had any luck finding thick (not wide) exhaust band clamps, like the ones you find holding your I-pipe to the Y-pipe on the stock exhaust? I like those because it crushes the imperections on the pipe since the clamp is real thick and makes a really good seal, as opposed to the stainless band clamps that don't. I just haven't found any in a 3" diameter.

I think I may actually have one laying around...the dude that gave it to me said it came with the Corsa exhaust systems. You might try to find out who their supplier is...

I just found some today at the Local Dodge Dealer. Ask them for the band clamp on the 06 Viper. Its a 3" Stainless Band Clamp, The same used in many exhaust packages (Rear Clamp on F-Bodies Y pipe)

I am picking them up today and will let you know the part #. They are $13.

Torca is the company that makes the clamps. You can order through them or ask to see if someone sells them locally.

I have used both and agree that the thin 3" band clamp doesn't seem to crimp as well as the thicker clamp. I will probably be going back to the old style and see if my aggrevating leak goes away.

Is this the 3" diameter one, or the stock 2.5" diameter? If it's the 3", I'll go pick some up tomorrow.

I was told they are 3", Only one dealer in STL has two in stock. The rest of them only have one. I will let you know if they are 3"....

The clamps came in a week ago and they are 3" S.S.

They cost roughly $16...

I've had great luck using clamps that are used for clamping turboes. Easy to find at ricer stores or in the ricer aisle of your local autozone type place.
