Default QTP Headers and TSP Duals

Wll the TSP Duals fit up to the QTP HVMC Headers? Im going to be ordering headers soon and I was gonna do the usual pacesetter/dual exhaust setup but Id really like to use the QTPs.

Give Barry a call at QTP. I don't see why the TSP X wouldn't bolt up to HVMC's. From a phone call I had with them a year ago, QTP claims their Y-pipes mate up to their own header, hooker and perhaps pacesetter. I would guess that any grott designed based style LT will mate up. Either way, you can always cut/massage it to work with the help of a local exhaust shop.
I plan on doing the QTP HVMC + TSP X combo also on my next setup.

I was thinking the same thing. My next thing I am toiling over is - 1.75" primaries, or 1.875"? Being I have a full weight A4 car... I'm leaning towards the 1.75".

What mufflers are you going with when you do duals? I like the 4X9 Magnaflow set up you had, but I remember you having to tone it down due to your neighborhood, etc.

1 3/4" QTP HVMC for stock cubes- even max effort. More cubes warrants the jump to 1 7/8" (this was another thing that I discussed with QTP over the phone).

As for the X on my next setup, the car won't be a daily driver- just fired upon occassion, so I'm just gonna go with dynomax bullets. The meanest sounding duals I've heard in person have used bullets. Big ol' Flowtech Afterburners like the ones I used also sound mean as hell. Sweet Thunders sound awesome also. The Magna's were a good compromise to quiet things down, but sounded less mean.

Right now, going with stock cubes... but considered needing room to grow in the near future. It's not a DD, but I will drive it to the office on a weekly basis. It kills me to think I'd have to wait until at least next summer for 1.875" headers. I'd love to see a back to back dyno on a car swapping from 1.75" to 1.875" primaries, say 382 - 396 cubes. The area under the curve is what I want to see most. I drive my car on the street more often than not.

Currently I'm running Pacesetters w/ TSP duals from my old stock internals set up. I'm in the process of completing a few "upgrades" because of a rod knock in the stock motor. The duals are staying no matter what... I've always wanted the QTP's - just never could justify spending over $1K for headers.

Yeah, but now for $750, the HVMC's a huge bargain!

Check out the Edelbrock stepped LTs available at SDPC. Sounds like what you need.
