Default Anybody bought the whislter headlights off of ebay?

Auction

Anybody bought a set of these yet? Looking to get rid of my crazed OEM ones. Is the quality up to snuff? Do they fit in without any modifications? Have they held up well(haven't gotten any moisture in them or crazed up like the stockers). Just kinda weary because I know some people sell junk on ebay.

The ones I have will need to be wetsanded to get that nasty cracked, yellow plastic film off. I don't have 8 hours I can waste wetsanding, painting, baking, etc. Besides the guy who did the writeup on the wetsanding said his were starting to crack again after a year.

I like them and will probably get a set. Yea you can do that to your stock set, but if you snafu them, then stock real gm units are expensive to replace. This way if you get tired of the look, just swap the old ones back in.

Lets see how long these will last. With this fine print, they have to be high quality. "THIS LIGHT MAY NEED SLIGHT MODIFICATIONS IN ORDER FOR IT TO FIT." You can also find lights in like new shape for less than $100 shipped if you look.
Writeup is in the sig.

I refuse to buy used OEM headlights because they'll end up doing that yellowing thing within a month of me putting them on the car(with my luck). My headlights went from perfect to crap in two months.

Those suck! They copied Whistler's mod PARTIALLY! They do NOT have blacked out buckets and therefore (IMO) look retarded.

Just paint your own. It's cheaper and nicer

I thought if you blacked out the buckets, your headlights wouldn't work right, they'd be a lot dimmer.

Nope, worked just as good as stock. You don't paint the very back reflective part:
