Pontiac Firebird 1967-2002 - Easiest way to get at the Fog Lights in a 2K T/A?

Just what the title says? What is the easiest way to get to them and remove them?

Look under the front of the car, there'll be 4 button fasteners, remove those, and pull back on the plastic, you should be able to see/reach the foglight mounting brackets, use a 10mm gear wrench to get the bolts out, remove the electrical connector, and the lights come out

Your other option would be to pop the headlights. That gives you just enough space to slide your hand down in behind the foglights. You can grab onto the back of them this way. Not nearly as easy as 2K2WS6TA's suggestion, but if you don't have any tools around it works :)

Honestly I have no idea how the hell anyone gets their arms down there that way :confused: I tried it when I first got the car, and there is no way in hell my arms are fitting down there (and yes I have fairly skinny arms)

I've done it at least four times. I have small hands and skinny arms, and it's a tight fit.

I've stock my hand between the washer fluid tank.

Pull the bezel (black plastic cover) off the lights (three screws) and it will leave you with a large hole to reach down into.

I'll have to try that too. That sounds like a good idea.

turn the lights on when they go up you have plenty of room to reach down

are you tryin to get the housings off or just the bulb????

cause i can get my bulb right through the air vent located right under the fog lamp. if its the housing, than use what everyone else has suggested...pop your lights up...remove headlight bezel and its easy access.
