Default Need help choosing lifters

gettin ready to swap heads soon and i want to install new lifters since my engine has right at 145,000 miles. i was thinking of using Comp R's but i dont understand the whole preload thing. i thought factory LS1 rockers were non adjustable and all you do is torque them down to 22ftlbs. but from what i have read, you dont do that with comp R's. i may be wrong on this. but thats the point of the thread. should i go with the comp R's, comp's oem lifters, or just go to a gm dealer and get stock replacements. i will continue to run the cam in my sig and i have 7.4 hardened pushrods, stock 1.7 rockers, prc platinum dual valve springs (.660 lift). the heads are going to be ported 853 casting heads. any thoughts/advise/experience welcome!

i've done searches on Comp R's and most people dont suggest them. Even the shop that is doing my motor suggested OEM replacements or the Comp OEM replacements. They specifically said to stay away from Comp R b/c they've seen them fail first hand.

just use stock...most people arent knowledgable enough to use Comp Rs and adjustable rockers. You dont need them.

I wouldnt use stock rockers either though while its apart.
