Default LS1 sleeves

Who besides Darton sells oversized sleeves for the LS1 in a Y body? Want something capable of 4.200" hole. Called my parts guy, and he told me the Darton sleeves would be $210/ a hole. I think that's a bit much!

Darton is the only one producing the 4.200" sleeves and I don't believe they are even avalible yest. Thunder racing lists Darton sleeves on their site and size dosen't effect price. There $165 a piece or $1320 a set.

We have LS2 sleeves for up to 4.125 bore. You could bore it more, but it would not meet our standards and we wouldnt recommend it.

Default 4.200 bore Darton MID

Blanks should be in shortly to produce the first batch of 4.200" MID sleeves. The new machining center I sold Darton is up and running producing MID sleeves for the LS motors this week. I have three blocks waiting for them myself.

The 4.200" capable sleeves will be recommended for installation in LS1 and LS2 blocks only. Ls1 and LS2 sleeves are not interchangeable by the way. I will not install the 4.200" sleeve in the LS6 block. That block is not strong enough between the sleeves in the main bulkhead area due to the cast in breather holes.

All MID sleeves and LS2 dry will very shortly be available in 5.800" overall length or .125" longer than the std. sleeves. This to allow better piston skirt support for those wanting to run 4.250" strokes. This length still leaves .450" over travel for honing. You will need to grind rod bolt clearance notches with the over length sleeves.

Pricing will be the same for all MID sleeves as far as I know.
