Took me about 13 yrs before things started to 'settle down'
J/K it'll be a bit, once you hit your duty station it'll get better. But then you start doing MEU workups/OIF/OEF deployments....depending on your MOS. What is your MOS btw?

Oh, and as for the g/f moving in, if you're in Pendleton, you might as well get married to her to get the BAH. Otherwise, it'll be tough as hell to afford anything in SoCal on Lance Cooley pay. just my .02

I assume you recently signed up but didn't go to boot camp yet, so for your sake I hope Jodi doesn't strike. Or that you get harrassed about it. If you're not at that point, what point of your career are you in? Best of luck. I'd also like to know what job you signed for.

Its going to be at least a year before you can move her anywhere. Thats if your first duty station is not over seas (1 year).
