atleast for me anyways, im sure plenty of u do it. but i have 4.10's so ive been getting about 14-15 mpg. which i figured was good. but the last 3 tanks ive been doing the 1-3-5-6 shifts instead of all 6 and im getting 18-19 mpg! thats huge. and figure this is city driving only i dont go on the interstate. just a heads up for those of u looking for that extra penny at the gas station.

When I was on Power Tour with my car, I got 22mpg. I had a 4000 stall and 4.10 gears. But that was mostly highway.

4000 stall and 4.10s, and getting 22mpg?!?! What's the secret, a 2200lb curb weight?

Highway or not, that's far better mileage than I ever did with a 3500 stall and 3.23s in my WS6. You're doing damn good.

Thx, I just put in my 4.10's last week, and I've been trying to re-learn the shift points; mostly so I don't over-rev it downshifting. I have to baby it for another couple of hundred miles before the first gear oil change. I can't wait to see what it can do now.

2900lb curb weight

I guess that helped a little too.

Either you are constantly at WOT or you need some more tuning. An LS1/T56 conversion into a little car like that should get pretty decent MPG even with those engine mods.

Buy an Aveo if you want good gas mileage.

A moped might have better acceleration than an Aveo.

I get 28mpg highway. No idea what I get city.

One of my secrets to getting good gas mileage around the city is whatever I'm cruising at, to keep it below 1800rpms. Sure, it doesn't sound as good, but if I'm just going somewhere and not cruising with the club, I'm in 6th at 40-45mph.

Nice!

Who says GM can't build fuel efficent cars......a V8 making well over 300hp and getting nearly 31mpg highway....imagine that!

When I first got my car I use to shift around 2K and got anbout 16mpg. Later I staterted shifting all througout the RPM range, how ever I felt at the moment, and still got about about the same milege.
But Quite Honestly, WHO buys these cars for fuel economy?

Mine turned into an 80 mile/day daily driver. But I usually get 350+ miles per tank, 23 mpg, not too bad considering I can kick the tail off most anything I come across!
