Default Help I.D. Maf(Pic Included). Aftermarket?

Hey, I was not sure how to word the title but anyways. This MAF came with the engine i bought for my 92 Camaro. Its blue and doesnt have screens. Is it aftermarket? Or cheap replacement? Stock? The engine is out of an 02 TA.

It's a Granatelli MAF. They cost a lot of money, but really aren't that great. You'd be better off selling it and putting a stock MAF on there. You can do a search on here and find out more about why you don't want the Granatelli. They cause tuning issues, etc.

I think it's a stock maf with aftermarket ends.

The black plastic part looks identical to my stock one and I've seen those ends somewhere. I had to take mine apart to polish the aluminum halves.

I'm willing to bet $50 that I'm correct.

I agree. Looks to me like a stock sensor with aftermarket ends.

Granatelli MAF

So, do you want to just send that $50 to me through PayPal or what?

I had a Granatelli MAF sensor and it looked exactly like that except it had the black ends on it.

I'll send you MY paypal address so you can send ME $50. I've got a stock maf, and the black plastic parts look the same. Looks like somebody bolted some cheesy ends on it.

I haven't taken a stock MAF apart, but if the inside of the stock MAF has the same black plastic pieces on the inside of the MAF then it could be either. I went out and looked at my stock MAF and did notice that on the stocker if you look at the part where you plug it in, and then look below where it say "Air Meter" that there is a solid box on the stocker. My Granatelli MAF and that Granatelli MAF in the picture above both have a circle in the middle of the box. Don't know if that is a way to tell them apart or not, but it's different from my stock MAF.

That's what the Granatelli MAF looks like. It's a piece of junk.

It's a GMAF or a stock MAF that someone bolted aftermarket ported MAF ends on.
