I plan on getting a 4th gen V6 Fbird around the summer time after I sell my 3rd gen camaro. After reading the some of the threads, Ive been bitten by the horsepower bug and want a LS1 Fbird or T/A. Ive heard the insurance are pretty costly for the LS1. My insurance for my 3rd is $100 a month and thats just minuim coverage. How much are you guys paying for ur insurance?

I'm over 25.
I'm married.
I have a clean record.
I pay $450 every 6 months for my '98 Z28. That's full coverage, $500 deductable, and through State Farm. I have multi-car and multi-line discounts as well as safe driver/accident free discounts.
I live just a few blocks away from Chicago, which brings the rate up some. It would be less if I lived farther from a major city.

$84 bucks a month for the 2000 TA, $55 for the 89 Formula, but I added a little more on the 89 due to the customization. 28 years old, married and clean record.
But I was where most of you young guys are here. I was paying $230 a month insurance for a while when I was 20-24 years old. It will go down. Just don't do anything stoopid. :thumb: My first Trans am was an 86, and my insurance was more than my car payment. :(

"Was" paying 91/month on my 01 model, then I had what they called an "at fault accident" yeah, OK. That was back in Nov of 03. Anyway it was gonna go SKY HIGH so I dropped them and went to a different company. I currently pay $1089 for 6 months, $181.50/month.
I am not married (anymore that is) and I am 24 with only one accident. Have multi car discounts and home owner discounts. Can't wait to turn 25 in november where my wreck in 03 will be off my record and also it drops at 25 anyway. Then all I'll need to do is get remarried and I'll be set :jest:

You could go to esurance.com or someplace like that and enter you info in and get a quote. It will be more then what your local insurence will be able to get you, but it will give you an estimate. That is for you only, do if you are going under anyone else's plan that will factor into your price as well.

If you're around 18 usually your best bet is to have the car insured in one of your parents names and have yourself "attached" to something else. My Camaro is in my dad's name, but I'm still "allowed" to drive it, so I do. :)

$330 a yr. $0.00 deductable. 28 yrs old. Clean record. Grundy worldwide collector car insurance. $22,000 agreed value (meaning if I total it, or stolen, I would get $22K for the car) Unlimited mileage. Must be garaged, and no one under 25 can drive it. Also cannot be a daily driver. I have 4 other cars and a company vehicle, so it is def not a D/D. I pay about $50.00/month for my Fiero and $50.00/month for my Montero, both under State Farm. $250.00 ded on both, min. coverage on both.

What type of insurance plan would you guys suggest? When I get my T/A it will be paid in full, so no financing. Should I get full coverage, or just liability, or what? btw with full coverage I'll be paying like 330/mo like I said before. With less coverage I'll be paying less per month, but is it worth it?

My son tunred 16 and drives a 240HP, V6, 2-door, 2003 EX Honda accord that books for over $20,000. He just turned 16 in October and I pay Allstate $267 a month. I thought that was high and I guess it is.
I'm 48 and I pay $340 every 6 months for my full coverage. I think about the cheapest route you could go (and still be with a fairly reputable company) would be to go with Progressive.
Two people who have been insured with them and hit me. They paid pretty timely, but, dealerships sure don't like doing business with them ... say they're the worst, but, my experiences were good.

Damn dude! You must have one f***ed up driving record. If you have np tickets or wrecks, and loss of points off your license, you'd better find out what's messed up in your driving record. I know a 19 yo who has a DWI AND two tickets (both for violating a traffic signal) and his insurance isn't that much.

I wish I could just go under parents but they dont like that they think it is fraud, and if there is a bad wreck insurance will investigate and drop us. Im gonna shop around today and see if I find anything better. Thanks for the help

$180 a month just the SS and right now on storage I'm like $80 a month for both rides. I dunno what the truck is in the summer I haven't had it on insurance for a few years since it was sitting in a barn... lol state farm , age 23, and my record sucks
4 tickets, 2 accidents ( once rear-ended in my 94 white blazer by a 95 white blazer, once a lady ran a red light and did some damage to the front of the blazer, she hit the breaks and tried to avoid me, but the back of her Honda SUV smacked the front of my blazer... I really think that thing is unlucky)

For a 93 z28 (not worth much) I pay $43 a month. It helps that I have never had a speeding ticket or anyhthing.
I hope to keep it up.

My 00 WS6 with American Family is $285 for 6 months full coverage $500 deductible. 22, not under my parents plan, zero tickets. That is for a "pleasure vehicle-under 7,500 miles per year." My 95 Grand Am actually costs more for the same coverage ($340 for 6 months) although that is listed as my primary vehicle.

something's wrong with that statement, get ins. first before mods. common sense man, and yes they do check, when i had my bike financed the insurance company did not send in the papers to the bank, and YES i got SEVERAL letters asking and stating this and said action would be take, i took care of it and had it sent, so not sure what that action would be, this is also illegal and think if you got in a wreck, you would be F*d and u can kiss ur Z goodbye, not to mention mods. :eyes:
