Default 222/222 cam - suggestions please

will a 222/222 .566/.566 112 LSA cam work well in a modified 5.3? It will have new valve springs, headers, no emmissions, high flow MAF, and a retune. The engine will go in a small 3300# truck with a TH350 transmission (shift kit). How will this cam act (i want it to be streetable)? what kind of hp/tq can this make? lopey idle? Thanks everyone!

You will have some great mid range power that is for sure. You might have a little lope to it, but not too much. That is a really lightweight truck! you have a bed on thath thing?

i am going to replace the stock valve springs with ls6 ones, will these work fine with the cam lift and can i use stock push rods and lifters (59k miles)? are these springs direct replacements for my stock ones where i can use my same retainers and locks? any other modifications needed to make this cam work?

Orangeapeel, the truck is so light because it is a little 1950 chevy farm truck (rcsb) like the trucks at the Old Navy stores.

Thanks for replys! Any other suggested mods to this motor are welcomed!

Lingenfelter sells a 222 cam for $250 that I have heard is for use with LS6 springs. Is that the cam you are looking at? $250 is a good price.

Before the overhaul, I made, through an unlocked 2800 Vig/LS6 intake/full boltons, 375/364 at the wheels using that cam on a 114.
