Ssra
I want to get a ram air set up for highway mpgs and perfromance before I go to college, cause I'll be taking a few pretty long road trips. I heard in stop and go the FTRA heats up badly and kills the engine life. I live in Miami where the weather is hot and the traffic is horrible so that's out of the question. I just want to know if I'd gain at least 1 mpg at ~80mph and if there are any problems with the SSRA like sucking in water and breaking easily
thanks.
thanks.

FTRA just runs a little hotter then the SSRA does...no big deal really.
If you are worried about how hot you engine gets, buy a slp fan switch.
The SSRA can be broken easily. I have ripped mine off a few times myself on parking blocks. Only problems with water are going to be if you take her off road through a river. Otherwise you will be fine.

I used SSRA in Miami also, no problems with rain, just don't drive through deep puddles. As mentioned by Lithium, parking blocks are more of a threat than water.
