Default Edelbrock Stepped LT's 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" (more collector options now?!) Part 6583

I've seen these for some time now;

Camaro/Firebird LS1 headers #6570

With the below slip on collector (left), but now they come with the option on the right?! I need to verify. If so, Kick ***! ;

Bummer! They're only for 4" collectors and 2+" primaries used for BBC setups.

Anyhow, I think I'll use the Edelbrock LT's with these 3 1/2" to 3" Flowmaster Venturi reducers into a cut to fit Mufflex Y-pipe (4" Flowmaster merge), into a 4" Mufflex catback (therefore, keeping 4" all the way back integrity once the pipes are merged).

MINE WILL BE at my house on Thursday or friday . I hope to have the Macs off thursday and install of the Edelbrocks as soon as UPS drops them off.

Hopefully to Allan on friday or saterday for a new tune.

I like the way the new collector is built. It looks to be a nice disign but will it clear for our cars?

I think that is for old school cars.

The silver one doesn't fit on to our LT's (bummer). The black one is the slip on merge option which provides a venturi merge. The drawback with this option is that you have to have the O2 bung tapped and welded on.
Take pics if you can, and let us know how the install goes!

Good luck installing them....I installed them with my engine taken apart, and there wasn't nearly enough room....I had to pull the bolt from the motor mount on both sides, and jack up the engine as high as it would go, then they slipped in from the bottom....

Good luck with install everyone!

I've heard differing install comments, ranging from easy install to primary conflicts based on motor mount condition.
