I'm having trouble deciding on what gears to get when I order my 12 bolt next week. I'm debating between 4.30's and 4.56's. One thing that could decide is tires. Is there any DOT tire that could give me traction at a well prepped track launching above 5,000 rpms with my M6? I was planning on ordering some Hoosier QTP's since they are DOT listed I need DOT for the club clash series I'm running in this year, otherwise the 4.56's would be a no brainer!

Anyone pro's or con's? I'll have a MMS Stage 2X h/c going in at the same time so rev limiter of at least 6600 maybe higher is going to be set so I'm not worried about running out of room with either gear.

Hoosier makes a 28x11.5x15 QTP. Thats what I run...

4.56s would be nice

Fireball, What did you do about your speedo correction for your new gears? I thought that Hypertech only went up to 4.10s.

it goes up to 4.56. I put in 4.56 with like a 24.xx inch tire

Ahh Good idea. I had not thought of that. That was one reason I had hesitated going to 4.30s.
Thanks

Those are the exact tires I was thinking of Any ideas if making low 400's for hp and tq do you think it is still a good idea to go 4.56's? I'm really leaning towards them!

The 4.56 guys around here run 28" tires with good success...
