I think that the 5.3 offers a higher CR and has more velocity. someone tell me if I am wrong though. I know it is something to that effect.

I'm guessing 5.3 head castings were much more available a few years ago for mass purchase and maybe they were developed moreso than 5.7's in the ported head market (no exchange helped sales I bet). Now, all things have equalled out (5.3, 241, 243) in price.
