Default D1SC Belt problem too small?

We are trying to install this guys D1SC kit and triple checked the instructions to make sure we did everything right. We are having a huge problem witht the 8 rib belt, it seems to be too small. We have the pully all the way loose and the belt wont slip on. if we try to put the belt on the balancer then on the procharger and try to bolt it up the bolt holes dont line up worth a crap, we can get one started and the belt is really tight. Our belt number is a K080408 is this the right belt for a 02 LS1 Trans Am at #8 boost.

Well it sounds like you are going about it correctly. looks like you are just going to have to get a new belt. I ran in to the same problem on my install with a 7 5/8'' crank and a 3.7 drive pulley. I am running a 10% under ATI Superdampner, and the belt is a 080400. For some reason the kit had the wrong belt and pulley combo, sent to me. I know napa will give you a exchange if it dose not fit.

Have you tried stretching the belt a little bit? These belts stretch once they are used for approx 1/2 hr, so you don't want to start with one that is too big. Bob

I'm running into the same issue as buldogg, can get the large allen in but it won't come close to lining up for the 4 smaller allens. The packing list says it's a 7.65 crank pully & a 4.5 blower pully & the belt is a KO80408. What's the next belt size up?

Solved the belt issue by lengthening the adjustment slot about 3/8".
