can you lower a car with a 9"
i may be purchasing a 9" in the near future, and wanted to know if i'd still be able to drop it. this will be a street car, not track, so i'd like it to look good as well as have power.

I know they make 9" rears to fit our cars, and if they use the same spring/shock mounting locations then I would think so. You just pick the springs you want in there.
Could be wrong though.

the car's a 6 speed, and i'm planning on going turbo :o
that's cool, i just didn't know if it would cause any problems with a bigger rear.

I’m 1" lowered and found a few spots where the tk arm rubs; the tk arm-mounting bracket is also hitting the floor under hard acceleration.
This weekend I’m going to hammer the spots out.
So you can run a 9" lowered but you have to be willing to use a bfh to clearance your baby in a few spots.

actually when i installed my moser it sits a little lower than the 12bolt i had in there before. and like TTSSZ said your going to have to clearance the underside of the car where the torque arm mounts to.

My Camaro is lowered and I have had no problem with my Moser 9" housing. I'm using a LG Motorsports torque arm and a bunch of grinding was necessary to get it to fit. My true duals needed some minor tweeking also. Just took a 300 mile road trip in the car today and it rode very nice and nothing rubbed or banged anywhere.
