Default BOV placement

SHould I place the BOV before the FMIC or after and obviously before the MAF. Its seems it would lower heat before themintercooler due to the amount of air being cooled by the IC being less.

As close to the Throttle body as possible but before the MAF.

I would vote for after the intercooler if the plumbing allows it.

I stuck mine before the intercooler....my thought process was less heat the intercooler had to absorb.

But Kurt would know better than I would.

You and I think alike, I mounted my truck valve before the cooler when originally built for just the reasons you listed!
After running on the dyno to test some other things I noticed that the air coming out of the valve was not hot since the turbo was not making boost when it was open, so when I place the valve after the intercooler it would help to cool the core from the inside out when idling after a pull on the dyno.
