Default D1SC vs T-Trim

Sorry if this is a repost... couldn't find anything that delt with these two S/C's, The Procharger D1SC is a little more expensive than the Vortech T-Trim, (I just need the blower and brackets)... the D1SC is $3250 I can't get ahold of Vortech, hopefully soon (it's supposed to be around $2600 I've heard)

Two questions... which one is better, and are those good prices? (I'm going to run at least 20 psi on a built 346 with 150 n2o)

Thank You...

That's a shitload of psi to be running with that n2o.

You won't get that much boost with the D-1SC on a built 346. You would have to jump up to the F series of ProChargers. Bob

Yeah the T-trim won't give you 20 psi with a built motor etc... You would need a YSI from Vortech to get the job done. And they don't make the brackets for an F body, RMCR makes a bracket, but I think it is around $1000 for the braket and $2500-3000 for the SC head unit and it won't clear a Z28 hood , but may fit under a Ram Air T/A hood. Hope this helps you. The ATI F-1C or larger will be very close to the radiator and will need to be modified to clear the inlet side for a filter to fit etc... That is all I know for sure. Good luck!

The blowers are very close to each other. They will both put up very similar numbers. I would say with a good flowing motor you would see a max of 15 with either the D1SC or T-trim.

I heard the D1 and the T-Trim were good for about 22psi with the right pulley... am I completely wrong then? does anyone run a similar setup?

Why are you worried about psi? Better question would be what is your horsepower goal? Thats my question.

Vortech says the T-Trim is good 825hp. I think 20 psi can be made, you'd probably run their crank pulley setup and a 2.85 blower pulley to get around there.

There is a user with a T-Trim, nitrous, and a built motor, Diablo something. He was running 9.9@140 on both I think (full weight, 4L80E conversion). I'm sure his raceweight was like 3800 or more.

When mine is done it will be the same as this Diablo's. Other than the 4l80e. I got my kit from his friend that got out of racing. Yes the 140 was on the T trim and the spray

I do have more cubes but my cam is mild (214-224). I see 11lbs. with the 2.75 pulley which is overspinning. I would expect maybe 15-16 with a YS1 (2.75). PSJ, what psi do you see with that YSi?

LJ was running 9.9's at 140 mph on an S trim, no spray, full weight. Then again, that was on one of those dinosaur LT1's. . .

I've seen 18-21 psi with the YSi and a 2.85 blower pulley.

I went 144mph with no nitrous and a 348ci. LJ runs about the same times with his current YS LT1 setup. He has a 383, SR, and is heavier than me.
