Well planning on doing the good old heads/cam combo this winter and just curious if the cam i have will be ok in my car. It's a mid 230 cam, a little over .600 lift on a 112 lsa. Hoping to keep a 4l60e tranny and currently have a ss3600 converter. The car is only drivin during the summer, but i still put some good miles on it. Anyone have a similiar cam, hows driveability? I'm planning on doing AFR 205's also, not that makes to much of a difference. Just curious before i go installing everything, if i have to get a smaller cam i will. I can deal with bad idling when the springs are cold etc, but if its constantly going to be dying at stop lights i dont want it. Thanks for your input in advance! In regaurds to tuning im confident i have a great tuner so as far as the tune is concerned it'll be the best it can.

I have the Futral F11 on a 112. See sig. Great on an auto, no problems with surging and really nice power band. Proven cam.

i have 238/242 .605/.610 on a 113...i drive it everyday... auto also..just shows where a bad *** tune can get you..i dont see any problem with driveability on your car

You'll have no problems and great drivability as long as you get a GOOD TUNE. That is the key. Idle speed, timing , fueling, etc. all need to be adjusted after a cam for it to run right, especially with an auto tranny.

those AFR's will make a hell of a differance with that cam!...i would say 40rwhp+

by difference i didnt mean power in terms of the afr's, i know they should help a lot I was meaning in driveability. Thanks for all the input guys! I'm assuming if i have access to a o2 wideband it'd help a lot if i did some low rpm tuning as well, besides dyno.

ive got the magic stick 237/242 in my car on my hotcam tune andit idles and drives fine

i can lug my car around and it doesnt really drive much different from stock
