how much of a difference does an MTI lid have over an SLP lid? should i just get the cheaper SLP?

I have had both lids. I like the fit of the SLP a bit more but I have the Halo n2o installed in a MTI at the moment.

And for someone who said they would baby the car, getting sideways sounds more like you were having fun driving the car like it was meant to be driven :drive: .

i just wanted to feel the power. but yeah i just bought the SLP from summit and used the 20$ summit dollars they gave me so i only spent 80$ including shipping :)

Ya dun good, kid. Now get a k&n for it too. Where are you in Seattle I might be able to help with some free mods too (throtle body bump-stop, free ram-air, etc.).

Someone compared lids a year ago or so, and as I recall the Whipser Lid made a couple more hp than the others. But they all showed gains.

Nice car btw! Looks bone stock incl the F1s.....how many miles?

Sweet!! Congrats, dont waste your money on expensive air filters they're not worth it. I ran a dyno test with a fram paper and k+n and actualy gained 2hp with the paper but I attribute that to the dyno. At your hp(or mine) level you wont notice a difference. Save the money!

I disagree on this one, especially if you are gonna do the FRA mod. I got my K&N used for $30, I 've cleaned and recharged it at least 8-10 times in the 3 1/2 years of ownership because it got dirty from the FRA and everyday driving. So for $30 I have the same filter as opposed to buying at least 8 new Fram filters. If you plan on keeping the car for a long time I believe a K&N is a good investment. But as stated above, don't buy it for the BS 8-12 hp gains, that's just not gonna happen.

Air filters are not a performance mod.
Get the K&N, it lasts longer AND filters better.
