Your setup sounds like a good candidate for an MS3 (gearingwise).
You do need Long Tube headers first.

If no LT's then check out Thunder Racing's CheaTR cam.

You need headers before any real cam goes in.

Search around. I'd consider putting the stock MAF (singular) back on. You programmer will do you no good, you need a proper hands on dyno tune, HPTuners, LS1 edit, etc etc.

It's one of them.
TRex, TRak, F14, F15, G5X3 are a few others.
Each has more or less the same peak potential, they will differ slightly in area under the curve.

Read the list on www.ls1howto.com cam install.
Springs, retainers, pushrods, timing chain (good to do on a '99), may want to do oil pump. TUNE.

Also a nice camshaft to check out is the HPE S-cam.

Definatly need a good dynotune as well. You can get a custom nitrous tune (less timing etc.) and step up to maby like a 100-150 wet shot.

I have the futral F14 in my car and love it. I also have big gears (4.11's) and i love it when the cam screams up top.
