Default LT1 ss

Hey, I am installing an slp Camaro SS hood and air filter box on a 94 Z-28 and I am Having trouble getting the airbox to clear the LH smog tub on the manifold and the intake elbow seems to be too long. I have looked on slp's web site and did not see anything. Anybody seen that before.

The 96-97 LT1's had a different AIR tube setup so you might need to go find one of them. I'm not sure if it will thread onto the 94 manifolds though. Can you just loose the fitting and rotate it out of the way and run a different rubber hose to the AIR check valve?

on 94 and 95's you have to loosen up the air pipe on the manifold and turn it the other way. then you have to get a new air tube which slp carries. i also think they had to do this on the 96 and 97's.

I have the ss airbox and a K&N intake for my '94.. Is it worth doing that for the ram air of will the K&N do better?

It will give you about the same results, the ss hood and filter box just looks better.
