So what is the 1/4 mile difference between a stock A4 camaro and stock m6 camaro? I have a 2001 Z28 A4.

not anything at all really, unless you are a real bad ass driver that m6 is going to be hard to launch and hit all the gears perfectly. autos are faster that is why i got one, haha:D, check out my times for proof, only 4 mods, be happy with that auto...

automatics aren't "faster"..they usually tend to be "quicker" in stock form due to the ability to launch (in 1/4 mile). a stick car will usually trap 2-3 mph faster than an automatic in stock form, comparing year for year. exclude the 273 automatic cars as they are absolute dogs.

He means cars with 2.73 rear axle ratio, vs 3.23
The RPO codes will tell you, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but GU5 is 3.23 and GU2 2.73

look on the door sticker on the drivers side and look for a code of GU2(i think) that will tell you if you have the 2:73 rear axle ratio.
i just bought a T/A with that ratio and its a dog, definatly gonna change to 3:42's.

95 percent of the time someone can get an a4 to ET faster than an m6 and an a4 is way more consistant, yes an m6 will mph faster than an a4 that is given it is more efficient, but also you have to keep in mind it doesn't matter how efficient it is if you can't put it to the ground...look at the top stock internals times all a4's, stock for stock an a4 with 3.23's will most likely take a m6 from a stop, a roll is a different story.

your 1/4 time will determine whether or not it's a dog. mine ran 14.1 @ 101.5 when it was bone stock. consistent as hell, but slow. i got it to trap 103.78 with a lid, gears, and an overactive shiftkit that was aggrivating the hell out of tqm on the shifts.

Get a good tune, mine was a 2.73 car and went 13.0 at 108, with a lid, TB and tune, but im not looking back :)
