Question running rich

Are there any detramental problems that occur from running rich from a busted o2 sensor/busted cat? my service engine soon light has been on for about 3 or 4 months, but i havent gotten around to fixing it. the code is a malfunctioning converter on bank 2 (which can either be a bad o2 or a bad cat. apparently the computer makes the engine run rich (resulting in the bad gas milage)). now ive been daily driving it (i know, bad idea) since it came on. can any serious problems result from this (running rich/driving with a busted o2 or cat (dont think its a cat tho)). my engine bucks when im at a light some times and acceleration isnt as clean. also at high speeds my car shakes (wondering if this is from running rich?) but thats probably something different... i figure ill fix it when i get a new/decent jack, but until then, am i safe and will the stock tune reset my comp ratio when its fixed?

with a busted o2 your A/F can be all over the place, run really rich at idle and really lean at wot. i'd get it fixed asap, dont be driving it hard with that kinda condition. but ya you can foul out plugs, bad gas mileage, get alot of carbon build up. just try to fix it soon.
