Default Catch cans and turbo set ups?

Are all turbo guys here running catch cans of some kind? I am getting ready for my new motor and don't know if I should go ahead and install some kind of catch can set up. Do you think it was poor tuning and/or poor gas that caused my dipstick to blow out? I know some don't run catch cans and have no issues with their dipsticks blowing out! So, any suggestions!

I run -10 lines off each valvecover into that catch can which is mounted in the back of the passenger side front wheel-well.

Stenod Racing can take all the credit for that...they fabbed up a bracket. I don't have the tooling or time to do things all super fancy, and they are local and super nice guys so I had them do that while they were doing some other stuff on the car.

Hey LTL! Do you happen to know who's catch can that is or did Stenod make the actual can itself?

Hmmm, know where I can find a moroso like that? I have checked Jegs and Summitt and they don't have one on thier sites, and I cant find one listed on any vendor pages.

You can get it from summit...if you need the p/n just holler. It comes with one -12 but I had stenod change it to dual -10's. It's moroso btw.

why do turbo cars need to do this to the pcv system? is doing this a must?

i called HP performance and they said you should not have to do this and they never did this to their turbo cars.

This isn't the ideal setup...a vacuum pump/canister setup would be better but I'm not made of $ so for now this will have to do.

Some times you need to replace the stock pcv system with something else, it was never designed to handle 2 to 4 times the crankcase pressure of stock. I ran dual breathers in 2003-2005, and will probably do the same for 2006 when the car gets the turbo setup on there.
