The short stick made a world of difference on my stock hurst, but it may be because it eliminates the rubber bushing, not sure how it is set up on the B&M. I think it looks a helluva lot better though, just cleaner look with it not sticking up as high.

the short stick (lou's short stick) i believe that you are refer to, does not fit on the ripper. only fits M6 Stock, factory Hurst, SLP short-throw, aftermarket Hurst and Pro 5.0 shifters. also Fits M5 aftermarket Hurst shifters (V6). i have the 5.0 with the LSS and it is my favorite setup by far. you can always chop a few inches off the ripper.

Damn, yours looks low too. Is the UMI shorter than the LSS?

Does anybody who has either have trouble reaching the ****??? It looks wayyyyy down there.

i can't compare them.. but keep in mind it's extra low because of the **** that's on there.

it's probably about 2 or 3 inches taller with a stock leather shifter (which I've actually put back on due to that satin **** making grinding noises)

either way, I never had any bumping issuse so it's not too low.. makes shifting a blast in comparison to the stock shifter

Shoot. I have a MBA **** I want to stick on my...short stick. If the UMI is a hare taller, I think I'm gonna get the UMI, and prey my **** fits right. What is grinding on yours? Did you use locktite?

only the shift **** was making noise (since it was metal on metal), not the handle

well the reason that my shifter looks so tall is cause the thread on my **** is a plastic universal thread that comes with the ****.....its not threaded for the t56 shifter thread it comes with different plastic adapters and then u just screw it on ...i could prolly screw it on a bit more but im afriad of breaking the plastic thread threw the inside.....but you all are exagerateing...stock height is gross i know a buddy of mine has one....mine is way shorter than the stock ****...i'll take some pics of it with a different **** on it and see what you all think.
