Default What is the difference between 98-99 lid and the 01-02 lid???

Hello So I am consiering buying an slp lid for my 2001 ws6, I have noticed that in the pictures advertised for the 98-99 slp lids they have the vent hole on the side blocked off now will the lid still fit and I will just have to put a filter on the air vent, I know in the 2001 advertised pic they show the vent hose you can just plug in to your factory vent hose. But in the future I plan on getting rid of the emmisions stuff when I get headers. What should I do??

just get the 98-00 lid and put a small breather filter on your hose until you delete all of that stuff, 10 bucks from any auto parts store

I'm not sure what you mean by vent filter, but when I installed my Whisper Lid I just pulled the hose out of my old airbox and placed a breather filter on it. The breather filter fit perfect over the hose and I just ziptied it so the hose wouldnt move around while I'm driving. If you want pictures just let me noe.

That's what I did on my 'bird too, but I trimmed the hose off some so the filter was tucked down out of the way.

I've since deleted the AIR, so it's gone alltogether now.

Do the Whisper Lids all have the LS1 logo on the airbox?

...and how about the Carbon Fiber version?
Does anyone have it, and a picture? Does it also have the LS1 logo on the box?

I'm wanting a clean surface.
