Default New To F-bodys.. looking to buy one...

hello guys,

Right now i drive a 2001 honda prelude.... love the car but i want a v8 camaro SS 6speed ls1..or z28 w/ ls1 or WS6 ram air.. got tired of Front wheel drive...plus i got into an accident where the CV joint broked goin 30miles n hit a light pole.. managed to hit only the fender.. so it's not totated..i can provably get for the prelude from 12k to 13k so im looking to buy somewhere around those lines.. .. for some reason either miami or orlando i can berly find any 6speed most of them are Auto's.. it sucks...

i like the last one's price....with all that money you save compared to the othe cars...imagine the mods you could sink into it. does seem s little fishy tho bc of it's low miles.

#1 is decent

#2 seems like a good buy

#3 seems a little fishy, and if there's really nothing wrong with it, it probably already sold.

the middle one says "100% original"... thats a lie.

i can spot an aftermarket airlid not that it matters.. if thats the only thing, its 99.9% original

Probably a little less than 320...it depends...there are factory duds and factory freaks. I would say average is 305. For a factory dud, I've seen about 280 as the lowest, and factory freak I believe around 320 was the highest I've seen dyno stock. I'm not too sure though, I'm sure someone else can fill this in better.

The 3rd one looks like it may have been in an accident. Look at how drastically different the headlights look...says to me, one of these has been replaced. 98's are the least desireable of LS1 Fbodies.

#1 is a wrecked car. Has a rebuilt/salvaged title. Stay away. Not even a good price for the mileage. Damn ugly too.

#2 is far and away the best of the cars you've linked to us. It looks nice and clean, is priced fairly(you could get it for 10K or less) for the mileage and options and is a black on black 6spd...

hmm, what i have expirienced, is you get what you pay for.... i paid low for my car... but i had to do a few things to bring it back to good working order....

but dont let that stop you, because there are good low priced cars out there...

Carfax will not always lead you to the thruth about a vehicles past.... side shops can fix accident damage and not report it....

I would keep looking, there has to be cleaner cars out there.... dont just jump into buying anything.... the key is to drive drive drive... make sure clutches are in good workin order... watch the rpms@mph's for diffrent rear ends.... check for leaks.... look at tire life...

and the only way you'll be able to tell, is to go find a car with low miles... and drive it... see what i feels like... and then compair it to others...
