Default Best heads and cam setup

Hey guys I know this has probably been asked a bunch of times but maybe there is something new out there. I'm asking this question for a friend who is currently deployed in Iraq for the next couple months. Hes been there for 11 months already and has saved enough money to start modding his 97 Z-28 with a 6-speed thats all stock right now. Its got 64k on it right now and we want to install the best heads and cam thats out there right for the street and strip as well as any other supporting mods to get the most power. Any help is greatly appreciated and sorry for the long thread.

"best" would really depend on what you wanted to do with the car. street, strip, full race car? metalbeast gave you the same people I was going to point you towards. Call eportworks and thell them what you want, I've heard they can hook you up with whatever setup you need.

Get a set of bare trick flow heads ~850, and send them to AI (advanced Induction). Have them race port them and you will have a set of incredible heads (~300cfm) for a good price 1500. then get a matching cam from them that will produce the power your looking for....seeing that those heads will support close to 600 n/a hp. They will steer you in the right direction with compression and the limits of your stock bottom end. Research your supporting boltons (long tubes, injectors, tune, intake) and stay out of the gas untill you can afford a good rear end. good luck

Honestly AI would probably steer you towards using ported stock castings with a 350 rather than any aftermarket casting.

AI is a Trick Flow dealer so you would not need to go out and buy a set just go directly thru them.

I am behind Loyd Elliott. He really knows his stuff. www.eportworks.com I highly recommend him, he just has finished my Trick Flow heads and lt4 intake for my 396 stroker. Talk to Loyd and telling what your plans are for the car and he will help you out.
