Default Cleaning block for H/C swap

What some good tips/techniques for prepping the shortblock? So far my tools are a plastic ice scrapper and air-in-a-can for the bolt holes.....

Ice scraper.

Can of compressed air.

Tap to clean the bolt hole out with.

A lot of paper towels.

A lot of patience.

I used a scotchbrite pad to clean up the head gaskets and pistons. It worked really well. As far as the bolt holes. I took one of the old head bolts and cut two grooves in it down the threads. It worked like a thread tap. Worked out nicely. There wasn't that much in there anyways. When I was done, I used my air compressor to blow everything out.
