Default underdrive pulley

I need some advice on underdrive pulleys.... I know little about them or why they make a difference in hp (excuse my ignorance)...

Please help... id like to make this my next mod

Whats a good ud pulley to go with

ASP Pulley.

Expect around a 10hp increase.

are there any downsides to getting the asp pulley? will the car still idle the same and everything?

Anyone know of a site with instructions on swapping out the stock pulley with a UD pulley?

Yes you can have charging problems if you are running a system. But that can be solved with the overdrive pulley.

i have the slp pulley and its easy as hell to install and no belt throwing issues and even a seat of the pants difference too! but it is expensive as hell just like most other slp products! lol!!

i bought the march fluid dampened one ill let you guys know how it is once i get it installed..im sure i wont be able to tell you much since im installing all my exhaust + the pulley at the same time and i bet there will be a huge difference!

I'm runnin a pulley on mine w/o any aftermarket stereo equip (all stock) and I can notice the headlights dim a little at low rpms (near idle) and also they will slightly flicker at idle too...kind of annoying but I don't care that much. Could fix it with a different alternator pulley to make it spin faster.

any gains in the 1/4 mile with just the UD crank pulley? like a tenth?

Yah about that... a heavily modded GTO (LS1) got 2 tenths from his. My passengers say the AC blows harder when my foot's on the gas now that I have the pulley... lol
