CAI Adds How Much Power?
My '94 Z28 M6 still has the stock air intake, how much of a gain can I expect by adding a CAI? Is the gain numerical only or will I have a genuine seat of the pants noticeable difference in performance? Thanks in advance...
P.S. If anybody in the Phoenix metro area can refer me to a decent and reputable speed shop that is familiar with f-bodies, I'd appreciate it. Thx...

I intalled my MTI CAI a LONG TIME ago! Probably like 1996 sometime and I have to say it was probably one of the most noticeable gains in power that I felt (save for maybe heads/cam and nitrous)
Really though. When I had the stock intake assy my car could chirp 2nd gear pretty good (All I had was flowmaster catback and a hurst shifter and I think 3.73 gears).... I put the CAI on and it was like night and day. My car now pegged 2nd gear to the limiter and I could consistently chirp 3rd gear. I dynoed it but never before and after just the CAI. I would say it's worth at least 15-20hp depending on how much plenum the new one you get has. The MTI that I had was one of the biggest.... And remove your MAF screen while you are at it as well.....

Yes it is worth it. I wouldnt say its a kick in the pants mod, but you will notice a difference in throttle response and alittle power(10-15 at most). It will help more when you do exhaust.
