Default post pics of !muffler setups...

im probably gonna need to redo my !muffler setup bc the way i've got the pipes ran, it may be cauing too much turbluence and causing a weird hissing noise, so i'd like to see how everyone else has their !mufflers done (with tailpipes of course). thanks

your best bet would be to put the Y in right after it comes over the axle and is still pointing at the ground. like the LM setup. sorry no pics right now

I don't see why you couldn't use the same time of Y. other might flow a little better but I doubt that is too much of a concern with no muffler. could be done quickly just after you move that Y further up the axle you have to worry more about bending the right angles to make your tail pipes come out straight

well i cut the pipe off at the axle and fired it up before i went any further and it still made the noise, so it's nothing making the noise after the axle. it must be due to the fact i have no muffler at all and i just gotta deal with it until i find a muffler i like thats as close to the !muffler wicked sound as possible.

if you dont have cats, that maybe what your hearing.

and as far as mufflers go, it seems as if you want something loud. GENERALLY, not all the time, but generally, the smaller the muffler, the louder it'll be. get some bullets. and if you want it even louder go with dumps. if you go with dumps, keep in mind, the closer to the engine your mufflers and dumps are, the louder it will get also.

i have 3" X-pipe and 4" dynomax bullets (3" in/out) with dumps right in front of the axle and it's plenty loud. but not TOO loud. i get compliments left and right. can post pics if wanted

hope to have been of some help

The single chambers sound good even with manifolds and cats. I had 3" TDs with them. I assume you'd be just running one after the axle?

i want a sound that is a loud and mean as !muffler as possible. i dont want any backfire or crackling, just basically as close to what i've got now w/o that weird freakin noise it makes. would a single chamber do this, and be enough to tone down the unwanted noise i have?

dont know if it would get rid of the noise because you dont know exactly where its coming from. all you can do is try the mufflers to see. as far as flowmaster goes, i havent figured out why everyone bashes it but there's nothing wrong with it. i am a big flowmaster fan, i just wanted to try something different on my car.

if you are wanting something loud and deep, and you do choose flowmaster, dont let anyone steer you away from the 1 chambers! 1 chambers and dumps would be awesome, you should do it. just my .02

sorry i dont have any sound clips of my car
