Default Where to find parts for LS6 intake swap?

I've searched through the forums and found some missing, as well as incorrect, information. I am looking for a place (sponsor) to purchase EGR/AIR block off plates and the coolant line/plugs to do the swap. In previous posts, it was suggested that Speed Inc has the block off plates. If they do, I can't find them. I would appreciate a link if anyone has one. If possible, I'd like to buy all of the materials from the same vendor (plates, line, plugs, etc.) I'll probably get new intake gaskets so buying from a vendor and factory parts from a dealer isn't a problem. However, the part numbers LS1howto.com gives for the coolant line and plugs are not valid according to GMPartsDirect.com.

1.So anyone know anyone that sells block off plates besides Speed Inc (yes, I know I can make them)?
2. Anyone know the correct part numbers for the coolant line and plugs?

Thanks

The reason that the part numbers arent correct on GM PARTS DIRECT is because GM is always changing the part numbers on their parts for some reason. If you go to paceparts.com and enter those part numbers you will be given the number that supercedes the part number that you entered. I know that Thunder has the updated GM parts usually in stock. This is copied off thunder racings page:

20-12551933 GM LS1 Coolant Seal (4 required) $5.75 Buy Wish

20-12570678 GM Coolant Plug - Used when converting from LS1 style intake to LS6 or LSX style intake. (2 required, seals not included) $4.89 Buy Wish

20-12581213 GM Coolant Crossover Pipe - Used when converting from LS1 style intake to LS6 or LSX style intake (seals not included). $34.99 Buy Wish

I'm not so sure where to forward you to for the block off plates.

Hope this helps.

Try to call Thunder for block off plates I'm not sure if they have them or not.

Eric, here is a link to where they are on Speed Inc.'s website. They have all of the AIR/EGR block-off plates that you'll need.

Speed Inc. EGR/AIR Block-Off Plates

Scroll down and you'll see em.

Wow, I'm a moron. I kept thinking intake/induction/fuel etc. since I'm doing the intake swap. I never even looked in the exhaust section.

Oh well, now the information is here for future reference, including the part numbers for the GM parts.

Thanks!

Are these really required for the swap or is that just preventing future maintenance?

Go to slpeng.com and buy their kit. It comes with all gaskets, tubes, and plugs. It is also the cheapest deal going for a complete kit. I bought it and it came with everything I needed!

Ahh, gotcha. That's really all there is to it. If your fast already has seals you should be good to go!

Yea, I'm not exactly sure if it does. It is sitting up at a shop right now and I cant see it at the moment. I was just wondering if anyone knew if the Fast system already had the seals. I'll try and make another post to get some attention. Thanks for the help.

i bought my fast 90/90 from ls1speed... awesome service. I ordered it on a saturday and received everything except the throttle body the following Tuesday! They have the coolant lines, plugs and the seals available... just not on their website. Jon can hook you up. The coolant lines and such are about $45 and with orders over $100 you get free shipping... again great service.

I ordered the block off plates from ls1speed on Tuesday. I'll be getting all of the GM parts from a local dealer with whom I have an account. I'd like to get an intake seal kit instead of reusing my old one, but I'm not ready to drop 50+ bucks on those little rubber pieces. But I digress ...

So you don't think they're necessary?
Does anyone know where they actually are, or why you might need them?

I solved the problem by giving Thunderracing a phone call.

The coolant seals come with it when you order the coolant lines/plugs.

Short, quick, and very easy.

For future reference, here is a seal and a plug (GM calls it a cover) with their respective part numbers.
