I have a set of these heads in stock that Gunnar loaned me to put on display in one of my showcases. I need to pay Gunnar for them, who wants to get a good deal? Bob

Compression was approx. 11-1. Golen engine service is using these heads on one of their crate 383 programs and is getting 510-518 hp.

This is a Comp Cam part # 12-432-8. Here is a link to Summit's website with the specs:

So they are called Patriot Performance 195cc heads? Cool.

I was thinking AFR or something.

wow! those are VERY impressive results. is there anyway you could possibly put up the actual dyno chart? i have a hard time visualizing the powerband just by looking at numbers. also i assume this is crank hp correct? im in the middle between a built ls1 and a built sbc for my 3rd gen trans am and this might be enough to push me over the top...

*EDIT* couple more questions. what intake bolt pattern do these have and are they perimeter or center bolt valve covers?

We will try to get a better copy of the dyno chart. The one we have a is not a good copy. We can set you up a set for center bolt and the intake pattern is for a carb intake. This is crank hp.

what style carb intake? theres a couple different bolt patterns for the SBC intake 86 and older and 87 and newer.(dunno if you knew that or not but i figured i would throw it in. ) it would be GREAT if they could be cast for both that way theres no limitations. also, to get a little more info out about these heads maybe you should look into becoming a sponsor at www.thirdgen.org right now most run MUCH pricier AFR 195 heads but if your heads perform nearly the same for damn near half the cost, they would be HUGE sellers! just a little fyi. also, if you really want to jump into this market, maybe a heads and cam package would be cool too. i assume you guys have access to an engine dyno to test out different cam profiles. a heads and cam setup making good power for 2k or so would sell HUGE on TGO as it takes the guesswork out.

and ya that graph would be totally awesome! if finances stay good i may pick up a set later this summer.

I am doing a similar build and have been shopping for heads, these look real promising. I have much interest in seeing the dyno graph as well, or at least the power #'s in the lower rpm range.
