Default Need some Advice

I'm thinking of crossing over to the darkside and saw a good deal on a 02 SS A4. I've never had an automatic muscle car, so I need to know about torque converters.

I'm trying to hold out for an M6 but want to get some responses from A4 owners and the mods you did to make your car as aggressive as M6's

Thanks

Im not an A4 owner, but it isnt hard to make the A4 perform up to what you may consider as standards for an M6. A high stall converter will be one of your primary mods of course, it will help you out alot. The way I see it, is if you plan on using your vehicle as a weekend dragger and arent in bumper to bumper traffic a alot, an M6 will provide a lot more excitement for you. But if you plan on going more competitve (looking for consistancy) and you drive in bumper to bumper traffic, an A4 may be more praticle and less of a pain to drive.

i have always owned manual cars, and my camaro is my first auto. sometimes i would like a manual for drifting corners and ****. but i like my auto, its fun to smoke someone with a stock auto car and watch them studder when they try to say manuals are faster

Yep, all it really takes is a stall and the auto is a whole new animal.

Hughs, or Yank are the way to go.
They make real good products. Of course this is just my opinion. Other people might have had luck with other brands.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be nice to have an auto at this point in my life. I luckily still have my left leg Thanks to a wonderful Surgeon here in Texas. It would be a first so I might give it a try.

Where in Longwood do you live? I'm from Winter Springs!

High stalls gonna kill yoru MPG remember that..

Hold out for a manual. This is not coming from my auto-hater side, its coming from the otherside that respects every f-body, regardless. If you want a m6 and get a A4, your not gonna be as happy as if you would have held out for that sweet *** six speed!
