Default New gaskets and bolts for headers ?>

Should i use new gaskets and bolts for my headers install ? If so what kind ?

Also what is the correct way to tighten the header bolts because i have heard of a lot of people tweaking the flanges ?
thanks

My headers came with new bolts which i used cause the original ones were rusty. I had to replace one of my gaskets due to a leak but i have heard plenty of people re-use the stock ones.

Always get new gaskets, no matter what. When I did my LT swap I bought the Stage 8 locking bolts. Aside of them being polished which matched my QTP's they have no real other purpose. After looking at my stock bolts I could have reused them no problem.

I've re-used the stock metal header gaskets and bolts on two headers installs now with zero problems.

all stock is fine. I personally went and got the stage 8 locking bolts as well just for ***** n giggles.

Be sure not to cross thread during your install! If it doesn't want to go in, pull out and try again from the center out.
