Default Ls6 intake manifold..

I want to buy a Ls6 intake for my 1999 SS Camaro. I was wondering if any ls6 intake manifold fits right on the ls1 or is there a special ls6 intake manifold made to fit the ls1? Also where's a cheap place to buy one? Thanks!

There is only 1 type of LS6 intake manifold made by GM. It fits on the LS1 just like the LS1 intake. As a matter of fact, the LS6 intake manifold came on all LS1 engines assembled for the 2001 model engines and was used through the end of LS1 production.

The EGR plugs into the top of your stock intake manifold, right behind the throttle body. You can delete the EGR valve all together for a cleaner engine bay. You just have to make a block off plate for your manifold/header and you will have to have the codes tuned out of your PCM by a speedshop or someone with LS1edit/HP Tuners. This is ONLY so that the service engine soon light doesnt annoy the **** out of you, it will NOT hurt performance

SLP has a pretty good price on it. 400 with everything needed for the swap. Figure about 25 for shipping. IMO its worth the extra $$ to get a new one over a used one

Anyone know the difference between the two on SLP's site, is it EGR and non-EGR?

yea thats the diff. The Cheaper one is the non egr. You can kill 2 bird with one stone. Get the intake cheaper and unclutter your engine bay
