Default Can I delete the evap system? yes or no?

I want to completely de-clutter the engine bay. I've done the !pcv,!wires, relocated the coils, minimized the wiring, the only things left are the tcs and evap system.

Has anyone done this? A complete delete? Searching didn't find my answer.

See in the photo the ugly evap solenoid over the driver side valve cover? Help.

With a breather on the gas tank and a few codes killed
I bet you could, and this is on my list. All unnecessary
nose weight must go.

If you get a line on the part numbers (or parts-kit source)
for taking out the TCS cluster and keeping cruise function
intact, I'd like to know.

As long as the gas tank can still vent, you can do away with it. Just be prepared to smell a little more exhaust fumes and such.

I just relocated mine out of the way.

Oh, and you know you don't have to run the black chimney with your breather, right?

Thanks both of you for the tips.
About the chimney, the generic breather was a gift (free) and the opening at the bottom of it is too big and would swallow gobs of oil at high rpm. I put the stack on and put foil on the bottom of the breather with tiny knife slits to vent but not allow oil. I put the o-ring around the foil that was trimmed so it's sealed and if I take the breather off I see oil dripping off the bottom, but the foil an length of the the chimney keeps it all in check.

Could I just put a mini-breather on the evap line and keep it away from the headers for safety sake, and hp tuner the codes out. How about that plan?

Did you delete yours back by the fuel tank or up front? If I can find the route towards the back that should cut down on smelling gas while the car is in motion...

Any ideas on the code(s) that'll pop up? Thanks.

Why remove it? Just relocate it. It was put on the car for a reason.

The reason is emissions. I couldn't care less about emissions, I want to de-clutter everything. I want the motor to look like it's just sitting there with nothing attached to it.

I just rerouted mine to over where the fuse box is. It still runs back to the manifold, which isn't something you are aiming for, but it does at least get it off of the manifold.

and by moving it you are reducing the amount of HC's coming out of your exhaust, plus your actually using the gas that wouldve escaped through vaporization.
