Default Drag Tire setup

Ok, I've been looking around for both Tires and Rims for a track setup but am not quite sure of how to go about things. I am looking for a good slick and rim setup and have only seen a few via the magazines that I have....i.e. mickey thompson, hoosier etc. Furthermore, i need a set of rims to go with them as well seeing as how i need my regular F1's on my stock rims...I was wondering how to go about possibly getting skinnies and larger rears, and then also how all that comes together and if it would put way to muchs stress on my stock 10 bolt....I am currently stock but plan to knock out most of the bolt ons that i can so i will prolly not push more then maybe 350 hp to the wheels i would think. Any help and explanation would be greatly appreciated

transmission? With a m6, you're just asking for trouble launching on slicks on a stock 10 bolt. It'll kinda go like this..
Tree drops...
REEVVVV....screech
THUNK!
CRASHBANG
GRINDGRINDGRIND,
Then lots of swearing. and pushing.

See the rears and axles section...

Thats what I was afraid of...Yes i am a M6 and everyone raves about how horrible the stock 10 bolt was but i just figured that with lil more then stock hp it wouldnt be to much of a problem. However, how would nittos due if slicks are a bad idea could i compromise with nittos and then not worry about my rear end blowing into a million pieces

broke mine with a few bolt ons and drag radials launching low at 2500. That was with the 3:42 gear. Broke an axle and the carrier.

MT DR's. 255/50/16 Launch at ~5000 RPM and no problems on a stock SLP 345HP car. I ease into the clutch vs a straight dump. I've made probably 20 passes on them so far.
